One of the most common comments I have heard during this pregnancy is, "I hope it's a girl this time." I also hear a lot of questions about whether or not I am hoping for a girl this time.
I have to say, prior to becoming a mother, I thought I would be devastated if I didn't have at least one of each gender. Like it was impossible to be happy with all girls or all boys. That I would be missing out on something if I didn't have both. But since having Leland, my mindset is completely different.
When I was pregnant with Leland, I wasn't hoping for a particular gender. I just wanted a healthy baby. This time, I'm feeling the same way. I don't have a preference. I absolutely adore being a boy mama, and I think it would be so much fun to have another boy. If we find out next Tuesday that I'm growing another boy, I will be thrilled.
On the other hand, I think I would love being a girl mama too. I have many nieces, and I know how much fun girls can be. I will be equally thrilled if we find out there's a girl in this womb of mine.
I no longer have those thoughts that I must have at least one of each gender, except that I desperately want to use my grandma's name for a girl's middle name. But other than that, if I end up with all boys, I will be more than content. And if I end up with both genders, I will happy as well.
So, long story short, I am not hoping for a girl or a boy this time. I am just hoping for a healthy baby that we will love and adore just as we have loved and adored Leland. But I cannot wait to find out just what's cooking in there.
I don't have a good guess/feeling either way whether or not it's a boy or girl. Sometimes I think girl, and sometimes I think boy. I am a terrible gender-guesser. I don't think I have ever been right. I have a few friends who are ALWAYS right, and some have guessed girl and some have guessed boy. So...I guess some of them are about to be wrong for the first time.
But what I really want to know is...what do you think? Do you think I'm having a boy or girl? I'm going to keep track of people's guesses, take a vote from my students. I'll, of course, post the results of my polls when I reveal our sweet baby's gender next week.

18 weeks...
How far along: 18
weeks
I have to laugh just about every day, because from the front, I think I just look chubby.
Then I turn to the side and I definitely look pregnant.
Total Weight Gain: +7-8
lbs.
Size of Baby: Sweet
Potato
Maternity Clothes?: Regular
shirts. Probably ready for maternity pants, but I’ve just been wearing a lot of
yoga pants, so I don’t know.
Sleep: Amazing. But never enough.
Food Cravings: Baked potato and fruit snacks. Confession: I love fruit snacks, but I refuse to buy them. I have never bought them in my life. When I was growing up, I always wanted them, but my mom didn’t buy them. I actually bought some this week because I am craving them so much.
Food Aversions:
Still meat.
Gender: One more week
until we find out! I am so excited!
Emotions: Happy,
and starting to mentally prepare for baby. To do lists, to buy lists, nesting,
etc.
Symptoms: The usual – low blood
pressure and such.
Milestones: Another
wonderful week.
Movement: Some
days I don’t feel anything, and some days I feel a lot of little bitty baby
kicks. They feel like muscle spasms, so I don’t always notice them.
Best moment this week: Three-day weekend with my loves. Leland playing with his new outdoor
toys. Seeing my girls run their first 5k for Girls on the Run, and
running/walking it myself. It was just a great week altogether.
Looking forward to: Gender
ultrasound next Tuesday. And all of the exciting things happening at school in
the next 2.5 weeks.
Extra Notes: Only
2.5 weeks left of school. I will miss my kiddos, as always, but I am so looking
forward to another summer with Leland. We are going to have so much fun playing
in the yard, going to the beach, and just having all kinds of small adventures.

Memorial Weekend in Pictures...
This weekend was bliss. Pure bliss. Three days home with my boys with nothing major on the agenda. I took a few pictures with my phone this weekend, so I though I would let them do the talking.
I already posted about Saturday's happenings, which were full of running events. Read about those here.
Leland got some new outdoor toys for cheap, thanks to one garage sale and a friend who gave us a great deal. We had a lot of fun trying them out.

Climber from a garage sale. Leland loves it!
Cozy Coupe - I was obsessed with mine as a kid, so I wanted to get one for Leland. This is certainly an older one, and has been well-loved, but it works well. Leland doesn't care for it too much yet, but I'm sure he will soon.
Gas pump for the Cozy Coupe and a ride-on scooter. Leland loves the scooter. The gas pump we're giving to his daycare. I don't think he'll have much interest in it for a while, so I thought the other kids would enjoy it.
Rocking Horse - he had a lot of fun with this!
Jon, Danielle, and Kennedi were in town for the Bayshore 10k. We enjoyed spending time with them. Here we are at the park: Kennedi and Leland enjoying the alligator (and my boobs hanging out...sorry).
We played in the yard a lot and picked dandelions.
This is Leland's face when he tried to blow on them. Ha ha...he was mostly spitting (and they weren't anywhere near his face).
We took several stroller rides around the neighborhood.
We met Kristina at Moomers for some ice cream. She took these pictures and he refused to smile at her when she was trying to take pictures.
As I said, this weekend was pure bliss. I loved every second, and it made me even more excited for summer vacation {which is 2.5 weeks away} when I have all the time in the world to play in the yard and at the park and check out garage sales for deals on toys.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as we did!

Lots of Running Going On Today...
So, way back in December, I sign up to run a 10k. I convinced my sisters-in-law and brother-in-law to run it with me. Laura and Jabin had been running and working out at the gym, and Danielle is quite athletic, so I thought it would be fun for us to all run our first 10k together. Then in February I found out I was knocked up and probably wouldn't be able to run it at 17.5 weeks, so I promised them I would be there to watch and bring them doughnuts.
Well, today was the Bayshore 10k. I kept my promise. I went to Potter's {the best bakery in all the land} and got everyone's favorite doughnuts. I forgot to bring my nice camera, but I was able to get a picture of them all crossing the finish line with my phone. Not the best quality, but better than nothing.

I forgot to bring my nice camera, but I was able to get a picture of them all crossing the finish line with my phone. Not the best quality, but better than nothing.
Laura and Jabin finished together {he's in the yellow/green and Laura is next to him.}
They finished in 59 minutes! Holy cow!
Danielle came in a couple minutes later.
The funny thing is that I sold my registration to a friend of a friend. You're not allowed to transfer/change registration, so he {a 35-ish year old man} ran under my name {a 28 year old female}. He finished in 48 minutes! I find it funny that his results will be posted next to my name. Makes me feel bad though - he should be getting the credit for that!
So that was this morning. Then this afternoon, I headed back to the same place for the Girls on the Run final run. There were 1500 girls there to run the 5k. Some of them ran it with their parents or other family members, so there were LOTS of people on the course.
My view when I started. I think I was in the middle of the group.
Things started to spread out a tad after about a half mile. There were these melon-colored shirts as far as I could see in front of me and behind me. Crazy. And awesome.
I ran/walked it. The race is not timed, but it was supposed to start at 5:00, and I crossed the finish line at 5:35, so I think I finished in 35-40 minutes. I think it must have started a couple minutes early, because I stopped for a couple minutes to help a girl who had fallen, and I was only running about half the time. That's why I say 35-40. Not bad for being pregnant though.
Oh, and the best part was that Ice Ice Baby - probably my favorite song of all time, not even kidding - was playing as I crossed the finish line. Seriously, that is my jam. {90s kid, you know.}
So, it was a day full of running. And it was a perfect day for it weather-wise. The rest of the weekend shall be spent playing and relaxing with my baby and husband.

17 weeks...
How far along: 17
weeks
Man! I feel like my belly grew a ton in the last week!
Total Weight Gain: +6
lbs.
Size of Baby: Onion
Maternity Clothes?: I probably could strictly wear maternity
pants, but I haven’t tried in the last few days. Plus, it’s been pretty warm,
so I’m wearing cotton stretchy skirts and gaucho pants. For work, I’m already
wearing yoga pants. No maternity shirts yet though.
Sleep: Waking up several times a night, and sometimes having a hard time getting back to sleep.
Food Cravings: Really wanting salad and baked potato the last couple of days.
Food Aversions: Still
meat. And basically anything I make for dinner. I can be starving on the way
home from work, but once dinner is ready, it doesn’t taste very good.
Gender:
Starting to think girl, based on a few differences in this
pregnancy. But I’m not hoping for one or the other. A boy sounds amazing
because, well, I adore being a boy
mama. But I have a feeling being a girl mama would be pretty fantastic too. We
find out in two weeks! And then the name debate can begin. J
Emotions: Just
so excited for this little one.
Symptoms: Low
blood pressure still. And a growing belly…biggest symptom of all, I think.
Milestones: This
week marks the halfway point in my pregnancy with Leland. Hoping this baby
stays in the oven a little longer.
Movement:
I have been feeling some flutters lately, but yesterday I felt
actual movement, which is my favorite part of pregnancy. Yay!
Best
moment this week: An afternoon at the park with Leland and Dave.
Looking forward to: Gender
ultrasound. I am dying to know what’s cooking in there!
Extra Notes: I
started training for my summer job at a coffee shop. Once school is out, I will
work two days during the week and every other Sunday. I am mainly working
because Leland goes to daycare two days a week, and it will be nice to have
something to do whilst making some extra money on those days.

Baby Proofing Never Ends...
When Leland became mobile, we did all the normal things to baby proof our house. We moved fragile, dangerous things to areas where he couldn't reach them. We got the outlet covers. We put the drawer catches on all the drawers and cupboards/cabinets. We started keeping the bathroom door closed {the kid is obsessed with the toilet brush}. We started keeping the door to the basement closed {no falling down the stairs, please}.
And as he became even more mobile, we found other hazards that needed to be addressed. Like, the trash can. The kid is obsessed with pulling things out of containers, so he was naturally drawn to the trash can. We had to move it on top of a small cupboard in the dining area, so he can't reach it.
That small cupboard has magnets on the doors, so he couldn't open it for the longest time. Then one day, he did. Well, the cupboard contains some fragile things, so to keep him out of it, me simply moved one of the chairs from the dining room table in front of it. The chair was too heavy for him to move, so he couldn't get into the cupboard anymore.
Then he learned how to move the chairs, so he could open the cupboard all the time. So we got one of those Y-shaped cabinet locks for baby-proofing {I don't know the actual names for these baby-proofing items...sorry}. And problem solved!
Then he figured out how to open the drawer under the stove. I was totally okay with this, because all he would do was climb into it and sit on the pans. It wasn't hurting anything, and he really couldn't hurt himself. It was totally fine! Yay! Entertainment for him that wasn't a safety hazard!
Until he decided to take all the pans out and step on them all over the kitchen floor, which is slippery and could cause him to fall and was scratching our floor. We had to get one of those clip lock things that people use for keeping babies out of refrigerators and such. Man, was he MAD, but it worked. He could no longer open the drawer the stove, and our house was Leland-proofed.
For approximately three minutes.
The latest obsession for Leland is climbing. He loves to flip the laundry basket upside down and climb on top of it. He loves to use any kind of play structure/climber. And as of this weekend, he loves to climb onto the kitchen chairs.
This is fine with me. He has mastered getting up and down them safely and I really don't worry about him falling - he's pretty stable. The problem is that he then climbs from the chair to the top of the kitchen table, where he proceeds to stand up and dance. This, I am not okay with. It's obviously dangerous, but even if he sat up there calmly and safely, I don't want him to get in the habit of sitting on top of tables. I tried moving the chairs away from the table, and he then stood up on the chair, held onto the back of it, and started dancing and rocking back and forth, nearly giving me a stroke.
I can't see any solution to this problem, other than watching Leland closely, and continuing to redirect/tell him no when he uses the chairs and table unsafely.
The moral of the story, folks, is that baby-proofing NEVER ends. Unless your floors, walls, and furniture are padded, your kid will find something unsafe in your house. I have a feeling that we'll eventually get this house safe for Leland, or get him to the point where he listens when we say no, and then Baby #2 will find something to get into. Isn't that how it goes?
Kids...always keeping you on your toes.

The Stomach Flu Strikes Again...
All week long, I have felt so TIRED. The last two nights, I have gone to bed at 8:30, but I still wake up exhausted. I thought it was just the whole "being pregnant, while teaching and raising a toddler" thing.
Last night, I slept horribly, and when I woke up this morning, I knew I wasn't just tired this week. I have the stomach flu. Leland had it about two weeks ago, and my students have had it, so I guess it was only a matter of time. But I thought it would magically skip me since I had it in January. No such luck.
I spent the day laying on the couch, being sick, and catching up on the shows I missed this week. Which, incidentally, was all of the shows I watch {Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, Nashville and Bates Motel} because I went to bed so early all week.
It felt so weird to be home with Leland. I missed him so much. I know I was sick and couldn't take care of him, but I found myself wishing he were here with me. He was at his Aunt Laura's house and I was able to face time with him at lunch, so that was nice.
The good news is that I'm now feeling much better. Thankfully it didn't last too long. But now I have to go to work tomorrow to train for my summer coffee shop job. So I still don't get to spend time with Leland. Thank goodness summer break is only 3.5 weeks away, so I'll have lots of time to spend with him.

The Hair...
Of all of the comments we hear about Leland, I would say the one we hear the most is about his hair. Everyone {literally everyone} who sees him has to say how much they love it. Either the color, or the fuzziness, or how it kind of always looks like he has bed head. I can pretty much always count on a hair comment...or five...whenever we are out in public.
The other day, our daycare posted a picture of Leland on facebook {she has a private daycare page for parents} and it cracked me up.
Check out the shadow of his hair on the play structure! Hilarious! He seriously has the best hair ever.

Kids are Resilient, Right?
This week, Leland's daycare is closed Wednesday-Friday, so Mindy {his daycare provider} can finish some work for a class she's taking.
I don't have many days left in my leave bank this year - after a fall/winter full of ear infections and a spring full of OB and ear appointments - so I didn't want to take any time off if I could help it. Usually, my mother-in-law is our go-to person to help out, since she sees Leland fairly often and she lives right next door. However, since she just took some time off to help with Jon's wedding, she didn't have a ton of time available. She is helping us out one day, and thankfully, I have some wonderful family members who offered their assistance, which means Leland has a bit of a crazy few days ahead of him.
Today, he is with my mother-in-law. It will be just him and Grammie and Grandpa, and I know they will have fun {as long as he naps}.
Tomorrow, he will be with my brother's wife, Melinda. My nieces, Ella and Madeline, will be there, so he'll have some other kids to play with. Madeline is about three months younger than him, so I imagine they will be a handful, but they might keep each other busy. And Ella just adores Leland and loves to help. So hopefully it's not too hard of a day for Melinda.
Then Friday, Leland will be with Dave's sister, Laura, and her boys, Caleb and Isaac. Isaac is about six months older than Leland, so he may, again, have someone to keep him busy/entertained. I think my mother-in-law may be there for part of the day too, so Laura should have some help.
I feel kind of terrible that Leland will be at three different places, three days in a row. But...well...mama works. And I'm pretty certain he will have a blast at all three places.
On the bright side, we're saving on daycare this week, since none of the people watching him will accept payment. We offered; they all said no way. So, I guess I just hope these three days go well, and I look forward to the weekend to hang with my babe.

16 weeks...
How far along: 16
weeks
Total Weight Gain: +6
lbs.
Size of Baby: Avocado
Maternity Clothes?: Still in between maternity and regular
clothes.
Sleep: Sleeping well, but still so tired all the time.
Food Cravings: Potato chips, green olives, and just about anything with sugar.
Food Aversions: Still
meat.
Gender:
We will know in three weeks! My ultrasound is scheduled for
June 4th!
Emotions: Excited
about all the wonderful things to come, but also getting nervous about Leland
being so young. I’m sure that when the baby finally comes, things will be fine,
but I worry about how I am going to give him the attention he needs with a new
baby. But, like everything else, I’m sure it all just sort of falls into place.
Symptoms: Low blood
pressure and so tired all the time. When is that second trimester burst of
energy supposed to kick in?
Milestones: 4
months along! Wahoo!
Movement:
Nothing yet.
Best
moment this week: Hearing my precious baby’s heartbeat at our
appointment today. My doctor had a hard time getting it because the baby was moving around so much.
Looking forward to: My ultrasound so I can see my baby again and find out the gender!
Extra Notes: This
week, I start getting weekly progesterone shots to hopefully prevent another
pre-term birth. I have to get them until 34 weeks. I was going to get the
supplements {vaginal suppository},
even though they sound really un-fun. I just thought it would be hard to get to
the doctor’s office every week. But my doctor said she did some research for me
and found that with my situation, the shots are better. And since there are
only four weeks left of school, it shouldn’t be too hard to get there for
shots. Summer will be easy, and then when school starts again, I will only have
to get them for about 2 weeks.
I had my OB appointment today. I
heard our sweet little pumpkin’s heartbeat, which was 140. While lower heart
rates generally mean boy, I’m wondering if it’s a girl, because Leland’s was
always high around 160. We will know soon!
Everything else at my appointment
went well. My BP was 92/60, so I am instructed to drink TONS of water. And I
read that increasing my salt intake can help. Ummm…ok. Salt and vinegar chips
are my new best friend!

To Leland on Mother's Day...
Dear Leland,
Today is Mother's Day. Usually, this is a day to celebrate mothers, but I look at it more as a day to celebrate motherhood. Which means it's a day to celebrate you, because you are the one who made me a mama.
Leland James, I am never happier than when I am with you. Playing with you, snuggling you, singing and dancing with you, and just being around you. My entire life's happiness is wrapped up in you. You are the single greatest gift I have ever received. Every day when I say my prayers, the first thing I do is thank God for trusting me to be your mom.
Being your mom is the most amazing blessing. Even when it's hard. Even when you're crabby and I'm exhausted. There is no greater joy in this world than being a mom - your mom.
So today, on Mother's Day, I celebrated my own mom, and your Daddy's mom. They are wonderful women. But I also found myself overwhelmingly grateful for the gift of motherhood. For the gift of you. Sweet boy, I adore you more than I could ever express in words.
I love you to the moon and back. A million gazillion times.
Love,
Mom

Embarrassing Moment and Good Friends...
I have many, many, many embarrassing moments that I could share on this here blog, but one came to mind this morning and I decided to share. But first, a little background information.
In high school, I was incredibly shy and had zero confidence in myself. I thought I was fat. And ugly.
And while I wasn't what you would call a geek {or maybe some people would}, I was not popular. I desperately wanted to be part of the popular crowd, but it just wasn't meant for me. I had two close friends though who were somewhat popular.
About a year or two after I graduated, I got a job at Abercrombie & Fitch {I know...}. I actually had two other jobs at the time, but I wanted the job for the discount. My friend, Kristina, worked there, and I am convinced that she is the only reason that I got the job. I still had terrible self-esteem and was super shy and would have never gotten the job on my own.
That summer, I met my friend, Kristina, and a few other co-workers {whom I graduated high school with and were definitely considered the popular kids} at the beach. I didn't feel incredibly comfortable; they were prettier and thinner than me, and even though high school was over, I still felt like I didn't belong with them. But it was going well. We were relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. And then....
A freaking sea gull pooped on me. Splattered poop right on my back. I was mortified. I could have died right then and there. I may or may not have wished I could die right then and there. Not only was I pooped on, but it wasn't even a spot that I could clean off myself! I couldn't see my back or reach it anyway - because the damn bird had to poop in that one spot on your back that you can't reach.
Thankfully, my dear friend, Kristina, helped me out. We went into the water and she helped me wash it off. Everyone else was perfectly nice about it, but I was so uncomfortable.
As it turns out, I didn't work at A&F very long. And I didn't keep in touch with most of the people I worked with. Actually, I didn't keep in touch with any of them. But I became close with one of them a year or two later when we had a class together, and now that we are both teachers, and married with children, we are very close. I would consider her one of my best friends.
And of course, I'm still friends with Kris. Anyone who cleans bird poop off of you without hesitation is a good friend to have around. And, she's proven to be a good friend for other reasons too.
In high school, I was incredibly shy and had zero confidence in myself. I thought I was fat. And ugly.
Not the greatest quality picture, but as you can see, I was neither fat nor ugly. I had the worst self-image.

ENT Verdict...
On Monday, we had our appointment with the Ear, Nose, Throat doctor. He took a look in Leland's ears and there is still fluid in them. So, at least two months of fluid, but quite possibly more. The doctor recommended tubes, and we agreed that it's probably the best option.
I went there wanting answers and wanting a solution to this problem, and it looks like we have found both. But I am still so sad. I don't like the idea of my sweet baby having surgery - being put under anesthesia and me not being there to hold him. It's just not what I would ever choose to do, but like I said, I know it's probably the best thing at this point.
His surgery will be June 14th. I requested a Friday so that I would have the weekend with him as he recovers, and this was the first Friday available. It seems far away, but I'm glad because that's actually the last week of school, so I will have more than just the weekend with him. I am anxious to get it over with. Though the doctor said that many times, when a child gets tubes this young, they will need a second set {because the first set falls out, but they still have issues with fluid/infections}. I'm hoping we don't have to go that route. But I needed tubes twice, so Leland probably takes after me. For now though, I'm taking it one step at a time.

15 weeks...
Okay, so I'm a day behind because this week has been RIDICULOUS! Between a baby with the flu, our appointment with the ENT, and my class' Spring Sing {and it's only Wednesday!}, I just haven't had time to do anything! I didn't even take a picture this week. And since I'm already in my PJs, I don't plan on taking one tonight. Sorry.
How far along: 15
weeks
Total Weight Gain: +5
lbs. still
Size of Baby: Navel
Orange
Maternity Clothes?: Still in between maternity and regular
clothes.
Sleep: I am sleeping amazing, just not necessarily enough. I can never get enough sleep.
Food Cravings: Ice cream and potato chips. So much for the salads I craved when I was pregnant with Leland! I basically just want snack foods all the time, but I don’t like full meals.
Food Aversions: Meat
in general.
Gender:
Don’t know yet.
Emotions: Starting
to get nervous about this whole “having-two-kids” thing. I’m sure it will be
fine, but it’s a lot to think about right now, considering how tired I am with
just one.
Symptoms: Still
having some low blood pressure issues.
Milestones: Nothing
really this week. Just another wonderful week.
Movement:
Not yet.
Best
moment this week: Spending time with family at Dave’s brother’s
wedding.
Looking forward to: OB
appointment next week. I think they’ll have me schedule my ultrasound that day.
I can’t wait to know WHEN we will know WHAT we’re having. J Also
looking forward to the weekend, because it means the busiest, craziest, most
stressful week is behind me. Although next week is looking pretty crazy as
well. I look forward to having a few days in a row where I can just come home
after work and not have some kind of appointment or errand or obligation.
Extra Notes: Nothing
extra noteworthy this week, except that Dave told me a few days ago, “You look
more pregnant today than you have in the last few weeks.” To which I responded,
“Well, I am more pregnant today than I have been in the last few weeks,
so I guess that would make sense.” I guess that's not really what he meant.

Pregnant and Running...
Back in December, when I was getting back into running and wanted to improve my speed and distance, I signed for a 10k. I had never run more than a 5k, so I knew this would be a challenge, but I was ready for it.
I signed up, starting training way ahead of time {the race is not until Memorial Weekend, so I had 5+ months to train}, and I even convinced two of my sisters-in-law to run it with me! None of us had ever done a 10k, but we all were ready to go. I quickly got myself up to 4.5 miles - which is 1.4 miles more than I had ever run before - and I was feeling good. I was actually pretty excited.
Then...I found out I was pregnant. I knew that by the time race day came, I would not be able to run 6.2 miles. There was just no way. When I was pregnant with Leland, running started to hurt very early in my pregnancy. I knew that I wouldn't be able to do that much at 19-ish weeks. It just wasn't going to work. So I sold my registration to someone else and decided that I would cheer on my sistas this year {and wait for them at the finish line with doughnuts} and run it myself next year instead. No big deal.
About a week before I found out I was pregnant, I agreed to help my friend, Courtney, coach Girls on the Run. I have helped her in the past, and have also coached Girls on Track. It's an awesome program for girls 3rd-5th grade {or 6th-8th for GOT} that is designed to help girls learn to be healthy and confident, and in the process, they train for a 5k. We meet twice a week for a little over an hour after school. We do a lesson about physical/emotional/mental health. For example, we have recently talked about gratitude, cooperation, ways to be physically healthy, and ways to express emotions in a healthy, productive way. After our lesson, we head outside to run.
I wasn't sure I could run much during this pregnancy, but I still wanted to help out because it is such a great program. So I told Courtney I would still help, but I may be walking a lot. She was fine with it.
Well, to my surprise, I'm 14 weeks along and still able to run a decent amount. We run around the school parking lot and each lap is 1/5 of a mile. My goal each day is to alternate running a lap, then walking a lap until our time is up. And if I'm too tired, maybe I'll walk more than run.Today, I had to walk a little more because I just wasn't feeling well - low blood pressure was kicking my butt. I'm not trying to push myself. I'm just trying to do my best and really listen to my body. Sometimes it says, "You're good. Keep going." And sometimes it says, "Hey, lady. Give it a rest!" And I definitely listen when it says that!
The final run is in less than a month {the same day as the 10k I was supposed to do}, so I may still be able to run at least a little bit through the rest of this GOTR season. I'm pretty excited about that. I know it is good for me and the little babers for me to be active, and I am glad I can be somewhat of a role model for the young girls involved in GOTR. Many of them probably don't see themselves as runners, but when they see a pregnant lady trying to run, they tend to see that they can run too.

Just For Fun...
Well, I had this post in my head and I was all ready to write it tonight, but I got a little distracted {or inspired, perhaps?} by another post idea.
I decided to share one of my latest forms of entertainment. Helium Booth videos.
A friend of mine told me about the Helium Booth app for iPhone {free}, and I gave it a try. Well, let me tell you, they can be pretty hilarious. My friend and I send them back and forth to each other, and she has gotten a few other people hooked on them as well.
Tonight, I tried my best Sweet Brown impression. Well, maybe not my best, but certainly the best I could do while knowing I was recording myself! So, here I am to share it with you, dear internet friends. Enjoy. :)
